  • Automation Engineer - Lehi Utah

    As an automation engineer at PowMation Engineering, you’ll lead and be a part of a dynamic team of engineers responsible for the design and programming of control systems. You must be a self-starter and able to solve complex problems within project scope, timelines, and budget. You will be given the opportunity to work in this exciting field while simultaneously expanding your automation technology and control system knowledge and become a recognized expert within the industry.  


    Responsibilities: 


    Design and specify industrial automation systems 


    Program PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and SCADA systems 


    Commission and start-up automated equipment and systems 


    Participate in teaching PowU training courses 


    Troubleshoot and resolve client automation problems 


    Communicate effectively with clients via phone calls, email, virtual meetings etc. as a technical automation expert 


    Occasional travel to client sites (10% to 20%) 


    Required Education / Experience: 


    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Automation Technology (or related discipline) 


    Background in computer programming, and industrial networking desired 



  • Electrical Designer - Lehi Utah

    As an electrical designer you will be a part of our engineering team and work alongside our electrical and controls engineers updating, modifying, and creating detailed electrical and control design drawings. Typical drawings include electrical plan views, lighting, grounding, control schematics, PLC I/O drawings, control panel layout, electrical one-lines, and more. In addition, the successful candidate will be willing to learn new software packages and assist PowMation engineers with arc flash studies. 


     


    Responsibilities: 


    Proficiency in AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical 


    Familiar with the National Electrical Code, and relevant safety / design standards 


    Ability to work with clients and lead a design package 


    Willingness to learn new skills including electrical lighting and arc flash study software.  


     


    Education Requirements: 


    Associate degree in Engineering Design / Drafting, CAD, or equivalent (electrical emphasis preferred) 


    Knowledge of revit & solidworks electrical a plus.

  • Electrical Engineer - Lehi Utah

    As an electrical engineer at PowMation Engineering, you’ll lead and be a part of a dynamic team of engineers responsible for electrical design packages and power system studies. You must be a self-starter and able to solve complex problems within project scope, timelines, and budget. You will be given the opportunity to work in this exciting field on complex projects and become a recognized expert within the power industry.  


    Responsibilities: 


    Responsible for electrical design packages, load calculations, and specifications  


    Perform power system studies utilizing SKM or ETAP software 


    Perform arc flash studies and willingness to become an expert in arc flash. 


    Obtain a strong working knowledge of NFPA 70E and other related electrical safety standards 


    Ability to work safely and assist with arc flash study data collection 


    Knowledge of protective relaying principles including SEL 


    Ability to perform and lead power monitoring and analysis projects 


    Communicate effectively with clients via phone calls, email, virtual meetings etc. as a technical automation expert 


    Occasional travel to client sites (10% to 20%) 


    Knowledge of automation equipment including PLCs, VFD, and industrial motor control 


    Required Education / Experience: 


    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering 


    Passed the FE exam and desire to work toward obtaining your professional engineering (PE) license.
